I haven't been around too much lately, which you have probably already noticed - that is, if you are still around. Sometimes life just gets in the way of blogging and it is best when those priorities are never reversed. Faced with illness in the family and substantial medical bills, the natural course of action was for me to take on extra work. This, for the most part, eliminated my blogging time.
However, I'm trying to get some of that time back. In the past I've done plenty of blog technical support - much of it free. I've solved problems, done installations, upgraded/converted databases as well as provided design services. I enjoy doing that sort of thing, and I know there are many out there who like blogging but don't want to get their hands dirty with the technical stuff.
Thus, the King of Fools has started his own dot-com: Blogrescue.com.
I am providing affordable (and well supported) hosting services as well as blog/website technical support. I have a development background which makes me automatically good at Linux/Unix and scripting (shell, PHP and Perl). I also have experience with templating and site design in MovableType, ExpressionEngine and WordPress. (I can learn others should the need arise.)
Please check out the site and let me know if there is anything I can help you with. If this works out, it may even allow me to active here once again.
*You may have noticed that this site is now available all the time and much faster than it was previously. No, I didn't give it steroids...I simply moved it over to Blogrescue.com hosting.
Oh, and please don't construe this as a cry for help - we are doing just fine. Please don't donate anything because of this post. If you would like to use the services I'm offering, that would be great. If you really feel the need to donate money, find someone who really needs it.
