When I was a kid, we used to subscribe to National Geographic's World Magazine; i.e. the Jr. edition of National Geographic. On the back page of every issue, there was a feature called "What in the World?" which displayed close up or strangely cropped pictures of ordinary items and you were supposed to guess the subject of the photograph.
