Monday, Israel released video of men loading what appeared to be a rocket into a UN ambulance. They have since backed off that claim, noting that the video footage is inconclusive. (The video also had footage of Palistinians laying mines for Israeli tanks with UN vehicles nearby.)
Today, Israel arrested 13 UN Relief Workers as suspected terrorists.
And just in case you missed it, here is a quote from Peter Hansen, director of the Palestinian operation of UNRWA:
Oh I am sure that there are Hamas members on the UNRWA payroll and I don't see that as a crime. Hamas as a political organization does not mean that every member is a militant and we do not do political vetting and exclude people from one persuasion as against another.
At least the rockets (claimed to be a stretcher) are not a real problem. Arafat himself has claimed that the Qassam missiles don't kill children, they only make noise. Right.
It truly makes one wonder if Israel will ever score a passing grade on the "global test"? They can only look at their hostile neighbors and envy their UN granted A+.
