The internet is always changing, but sometimes an abrupt transition like this one can't help but arouse suspicion. Oh yes, they have a 'perfectly good' explanation for all this here:
Jeeves, after years of loyal service is taking the opportunity to hang up his butler suit and take retirement.

He is taking a few days rest before he starts his new adventure.

This is followed by some 'convincing' pictures of Jeeves in different vacation and retirement locations. However, my research staff has examined these pictures closely and has irrefutable evidence that Jeeves has beeh photoshopped into each image. Consider the following:

Notice the tell-tale white 'aura' eminating from poor retired Jeeves' back. He has either been deified, or photoshopped. This aura is consistant across all of Jeeves' "retirement" photographs.

Why would the good butler retire so quickly - without warning, and then be unavailble for interviews or endorsement deals. Why would he allow 'users' to vote how he spends the rest of his days, instead of making that choice for himself? Why was it necessary to photoshop his image into the vacation pictures? It is all suspicions at this point, but in my mind, it all points to death. Yes, I'm convinced that poor Jeeves, after a life of humble service, is spending his time "telling no tales". With no body, no obituary and no Jeeves, it certainly looks like foul play.

And if you try asking the people at ask.com, all you get is the runaround.
