I receive several spam emails daily. It's not a big deal...I just delete them and think nothing of it. They usually sort into three different categories. The ones that are trying to sell me something (usually viagra or male enlargement pills), the ones that are trying to scam me (usually from Nigeria) and the ones which are trying to seduce me (porn sites).
Yesterday, I received one which I had trouble categorizing.
First I read the subject: "Thanks in advance".
Hmmm...could be anything.
Then I read the sender's name: "Jewel Taylor".
Ok...it smells like porn.
The first line of the letter read "Happy to kow you".
Definitely porn. We have confirmation. Delete porn advertisement. Three...Two...One...
Wait...the second line said, "I Mrs.Jewel Taylor, wife of Liberia's exiled former leader Charles Taylor, decided to bestow this trust on you..."
Hmmm...ok. Nigerian scam email.
Third line: "Since after my husband's demotioned, my family is under restriction of movement and that notwithstanding, we are being molesting;"
WHAT? Porn advertisement disguized as a Nigerian Scam email?
Skimming over the rest of the email, it did appear to be the usual scam email. It was funny though. Throughout the entire letter, the gramatical and spelling mistakes seemed almost intentional and they also indicated that the author had a sick sense of humor. Or perhaps he was just moonlighting from his real job...as a porn spammer.
