The damage was fairly limited. I did lose two weeks of posting. Fortunately, I had backed up last Friday and also had a brower window open with my site index page, loaded prior to the shutdown. From these two sources, I was able to reconstruct all missing posts (sans comments and trackbacks). Also, the replaced posts are numbered differently so outside links to any specific post will now pull up something completely unrelated. Despite that, I'm actually quite pleased to be where I am at this point.
It is an interesting experience to be out of commission. Kind of like being dead, yet conscious. I could see all the action going on around me but was not able to participate. I had to eventually stop reading news and other weblogs because it gave me too many ideas to post, which resulted in blogstapation.
UPDATE: I can rebuild in Movable Type and I have not noticed any problems with the site, but I get the following error continuously:
