Music for Your Ears
As promised earlier this week, I wanted to share a bit of the beautiful music the Artist brings to our household.

The Artist

I managed to capture a little of his practicing yesterday. Granted its a piece he is working on for a concert, and the recording was via my PDA so it is but a crude imitation of the live performance. However, I think it helps show his talent and promise:

He currently sits 3rd chair in the 8th grade orchestra (as a 7th grader) and has only played for 20 months.

Wow! And he’s handsome too. With a REALLY good haircut. But maybe I’m obsessing about haircuts this week because its time for my boys to go and it seems almost like “damned if I do, damned if I don’t”. I am SO tired of telling the barber “and I don’t want him to be BALD no matter how much money it saves me by stretching out the time between cuts”. No wonder most of the children here look ... like refugees. Refugees with really bad haircuts.

And he will SO be thanking you when he can take along the violin on romantic picnics, and seranade delightful young women who will swoon at his feet!
