Dog Gone
Unfortunately, due to reasons beyond our control, today we were forced to reduce our family by one member. In our scramble to fit all of our medical bills into the budget, the vet bills were pushing things to the breaking point. Sadly, this is end of my dog-blogging, at least for a while. But none of us will ever forget our dear little Tansy:

Tansy

At least this parting of ways was not nearly as traumatic as the last one, although hearts are still very heavy around here. We had time to prepare for this change and dealing with Tansy's new address should be much easier than Frodo's death.

The good news is that we found a great home for her with a family who recently lost their dog. They live just down the street and we go to the same church so we will even get to see her from time to time.

We were fortunate to be able to give the kittens our cat had (before being spayed) to families that we knew.

It came in handy when C was taking swimming lessons and was nervous.  The guard who taught her owned on of the kittens and to ease her fears, he told her stories of the kitten she was so familiar with.

I am glad that you will be able to keep tabs :D

KoF Comment Policy
  1. Address the topic at hand, not of the intelligence, appearance or genealogy of those you disagree with.
  2. Present opinion as opinion. If you are stating a fact, it needs to be backed up with some evidence. Something obvious to you may not be that way for others.
  3. Sweeping generalizations usually demonstrate ignorance and are easily proven incorrect. Avoid them unless you like serving up softballs to the other side.
  4. It is ok if someone doesn't agree with you or see the evidence you provide as compelling. Make your argument as a proof to yourself why your position is correct, instead of an attempt to convert your opponent.
  5. If you feel like you are just banging heads with other participants and the discussion is making no progress, it is fine to quietly drop out of the discussion. This is not considered surrender, as long as you redirect your comment energies to a different entry here at KoF.
Comments which fail to comply will be removed or edited.
