Former President Bill Clinton is scheduling heart bypass surgery after tests revealed significant blockage, said a Democratic Party official close to Clinton who had discussed the medical condition with the former president's staff.

This kind of surgery used to be very risky. It is done often enough that it is becoming fairly routine but there are always risks. I may not agree with him politically (I did live in Arkansas when he was governor there) but it is not as if I wish he were dead. Hope it works out fine for him.
