A ROBOT suit has been developed that could help older people or those with disabilities to walk or lift heavy objects. Dubbed HAL, or hybrid assistive limb, the latest versions of the suit will be unveiled this June at the 2005 World Expo in Aichi, Japan, which opened last month. A commercial product is slated for release by the end of the year.A picture is available here. I'm waiting for the version that gives me the strength of Superman...or at least Steve Austin (and I'm not talking about the WWF copycat).
Actually, I am waiting for the Steve Austin (WWE not F) version. Then I can beat up my boss, tell everyone off and drink beer like most poeple breathe.
Summers coming, I have to keep cool somehow, and if you ever saw the Rattlesnake drink beer, he needs a whole case just to get one down his throat. The rest is for air conditioning purposes.
Tsk tsk tsk… Short sighted people.
I want the “where the hell are my keys” version that gives one x-ray vision. Or the “time compression” model that reduces time spent shopping with your wife/girlfriend. Or the “fix my busted wreck” version that will repair any car in an afternoon without draining your strength or bank account. Or for the really practical version how about the mega-ultra-super powerful “hide my beer gut” model?
All you middle-aged men know exactly what I am talking about.
And if you really want to impress me, add GPS give me a “take the trash out” version. Then technology will have arrived as far as I am concerned.
