Congratulations to Dean and Rosemary Esmay with their new addition. I know they were concerned about the potential size of the little one, but they were fortunate. There actually was a super-size baby born yesterday, but in Brazil and not Michigan. (And for Rosemary's sake, we are all glad.)

In other baby news, last week a 66-year old Romanian woman gave birth to twins, although only one survived. She is thought to be the oldest recorded mother, although she had to have help by donation of both the sperm and the egg. (To me that sounds like a bum deal...all the pain and then some, without any of the pleasure.)
