This one was taken in my home town.  Which was weird as I definetly didn’t see anything like that in the sky.

I’m pretty sure these are all enhanced by using a very long exposure.  Still, they are beautiful.  I’ve never seen it myself, despite spending plenty of time in Alaska a decade ago.

The one I linked to actually looks exactly like an aurora I saw while we were traveling at night back to our hunting cabin in Alaska.  We were way, way up in the mountains and it seemed like if I jumped I could touch them.  Heck, I could hear them.  I think.  It sure seemed like I could hear them.

I just never figured they got like that down in Minot.
