Two teenage girls decided one summer's evening to skip a dance where there might be cursing and drinking to stay home and bake cookies for their neighbors. Big mistake. They were sued, successfully, for an unauthorized cookie drop on one porch.The 'victim' claims that she ended up in the hospital the following day suffering an anxiety attack and what she believed was a heart attack, all brought on by the knocking on her door. She was awarded $900.00 for her medical expenses but was not given any compensation for pain and suffering. Her response to the verdict:
The victory wasn't sweet. I'm not gloating about it. I just hope the girls learned a lesson.I'm certain they have, unfortunately.
