"The United States dropped the word 'sanctions' from a draft U.N. resolution on Sudan on Thursday in the face of opposition on the Security Council, but it retained a threat of economic action against Khartoum if it fails to disarm Arab militias in Darfur."It appears that the process of international concensus has produced yet another neutered resolution:"Arab militias chained civilians together and set them on fire in Sudan's western Darfur region, where tens of thousands have been killed in a 17-month conflict, according to a report by an African Union monitoring team."
Over at the globalists' headquarters in New York, Algerian Ambassador Abdallah Baali sniffed, "At first glance, we feel that we are more comfortable with this text than we were with the other versions."Sounds like the Iraq debate all over again. I know the U was originally supposed to stand for United, but there are so many other U-words which are a better fit.The new draft does nothing except call for more of the endless jabbering that the so-called United Nations is infamous for. It once again asks the genocidal Muslim militias that are torturing, maiming and slaughtering tens of thousands of black Sudanese to please stop the torture, maiming and slaughter. When the Arabs again refuse, U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan is to report every 30 days and express the outfit's "intention to consider further actions."
Meanwhile, in Sudan, the people aren't quite as "comfortable" as Algeria's ambassador.
Like Unactive, Unwilling and especially Useless.
How much money a year are we spending to produce these kinds of documents? We would be better off spending it on Charmin. At least that kind of paperwork has a purpose.
