In a story like Hansel and Gretel, a shoplifter recently stuffed a leaking bag of kitty litter down the front of his pants at Country Mart Grocery Store in Harrison and apparently left a gray clay trail all the way from inside the store to his vehicle in the parking lot, according to a recent report by the Harrison Police Department.

Police said a store clerk reported that a male subject was walking funny and that he left the store with cat litter falling from his britches' legs onto the floor of the store.

The clerk followed the man and his trail of cat litter where she wrote down the Arkansas license plate number of his red and white Chevrolet Blazer vehicle. Police are reportedly still trying to sniff out the suspect in an effort to flush him out.
