March 28, 2005
Last weekend, the Royal In-Laws were in town, so we took an enjoyable excursion up to Humble (pronouced without the haughty 'h') and had a pleasant picnic at the Mercer Arboretum and Botanic Gardens. Despite a brief rainshower, it turned out to be a perfectly delicious day. The park is a wonderful place for a picnic, geocaching, walking or viewing some of the inhabitants of this earth clad in splendor far exceeding that of Solomon. It is also free.

I could continue to wax poetic, but instead I will let my (albeit ancient and pitiful) digital camera do the talking:

Snap-Dragons

A Field of Royal Purple

Finding this Geocache

A Cacophony of Color

Sweet Bluebells

The Princess

Perhaps it was the peace and serenity of the weekend that makes the news seem so bland and lifeless today...so much so that I find myself either unable or unwilling to write about it.
