Hypothetical scenario:
A company produces a product designed for a specific purpose. A customer purchases this product to meet a need they have. An individual not authorized to use or even be near the product manages to get themselves killed by it. The product did not malfunction in any way, and the life-impaired individual completely failed to follow any safety precautions in their interaction with it.
The relatives of the deceased sue the manufacturer of the product for wrongful death. Do you believe they have a valid case?
Yes, this is based on an actual case, although the product in question is not a weapon.
