David's Medienkritik has posted a letter he received from a Haliburton employee stationed in Iraq:
And the people killed recently in that convoy were probably all KBR, except for the two soldiers who didn't abandon the trucks and their drivers; but what about the other convoy escorts? I am not blaming the Army, but people who have demonized KBR folks in the media to make their own cheap political points will soon have to explain themselves to the families of those killed. Why portray KBR as the root of all evil when the people who make up that company are only supporting Americas troops, and not even armed. Do they have a problem with some us not sitting around on unemployment, but actually working and sending money home, while supporting the troops that they so glibly claim to support? Kerry has vilified KBR in the past, now that KBR employees are dead on the side of the road will the media now ask him how these working people were gouging America and deserved their fate? No they will not. Because Cheney used to run this company does not mean that the people actually carrying the food, gas, equipment for our troops are connected politically.Go read the whole thing.
