Bill Wallow has two great posts up regarding the movie Troy and its absence of deity. The first (Clashing Gods) gives his ideas on why the producer/screenwriters made such a major change to the story.

The second (Levels of Control) responds to my comment about the level of control he proposed in his first post not being something normally attributable to the Greek gods. If you need a quick primer on the Iliad, this is a great resource.

At this point, I am about 60% certain that these two Walloworld posts about Troy will end up being more interesting than the movie itself. (But I'm really picky about movies.)

UPDATE: This favorable review may cause me to see it...but then again, I usually only enjoy movies which are panned by the critics.
