Today, I learned that the British also have Apaches. Just like ours except theirs have Rolls-Royce engines (ours use GE). Interesting!

Plus the article had not 1 but 2 quotes that tickled my funny bone:

The first live missile warshot fired by Britain's Apache helicopters in Afghanistan was fired at a French vehicle. And the French actually thanked them.

...and...

Each Hellfire missile costs the British people 65,000 UK pounds. Apart from the expenditure, the British forces suffered no losses.

I adore good writing (I'm currently reading James Herriot) and I wish more of our news was written as well as this little gem.
