I'm trying to watch the Sox & Yankees on Fox but the sound effects are driving me batty. Just before they display a graphic, they play this funky computer sound. It really would not be an issue, except that I have heard that sound before. It is from a very old computer game (circa 1994) called X-Com 2.

In the game, there were aliens underwater so your objective was to detect them and wipe them out. Whenever an enemy sub was detected...a warning sound would play as the alert flashed up. The very same sound that Fox is using to introduce their computer graphics. I thought I was going crazy, but my kids recognized it too. I will watch as long as I can, but I just don't know how much more of this I can take.
