I found the office of the people who offer wireless access at the convention. I was pretty excited at the thought because then I could truly liveblog the event, posting updates as often as my ancient notebook could handle. My wireless card recognizes their nodes but is not able to connect to any of them. I spent an hour with a tech and made zero progress.
Thus the slow posting. Sorry. The biggest disapointment is that it is also hampering my ability to see everything I would like to see. I'm sitting here on my bed posting a bunch of back posts while the 2nd General Session is underway. It takes me about 15 minutes to get back to my hotel from the convention center. Lunch was a sample piece of chinese food some kid thrust at me as I walked through the mall courtyard. And my legs are tired.
Enough griping...I'm still pretty estatic to be here. Oh, and the press credentials are great. I can get into lots of places including the media center. The only thing it is not getting me is internet connectivity.
Much more to come.
