A few weeks back Stephen (ChristWeb) and I had a discussion about 'Marketing Christianity'. I think we both ended up with more questions than answers, but the urgency of the subject matter compelled us to take action. Thus we decided to explore the topic of 'Church Marketing' in an ongoing joint series. Our goal is to examine and discuss viable ways the Church and individual Christians can successfully present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world.
I had planned on starting last week, like Stephen did. Unfortunately, internet connectivity issues coupled by a very serious hosting snafu disabled me for much of last week. I'm positive that there are ideas out there from our readers (both saved and unsaved) which will be instrumental in evolving a working definition as well as some practical means of church marketing. Please feel free to add your $0.02 to the discussion.
This specific post is not a discussion point, but rather a navigation point where I intend on mapping the entire discussion. I guess that makes it a signpost.
