The race for National Chairperson has been very heated. For the last month, I have been under a barrage of campaign mail for this race. (I won't even mention the slew of computer generated phone calls which nearly convinced me to vote for neither candidate.)

The current chair (Tina) has the advantage of being on stage for every event and hosting several other forums and events. (Including lots of camera time on the big screen during the prayer rally.) Her opponent (Gina) countered with a rally last night which included Roy Moore.

This morning, I noticed that someone spread a few flyers around on the seats in the main assembly room. The first one stated that Roy Moore was paid to speak and was not really supporting the candidate. The second had a photocopy of an old newspaper ad and accused Gina of being (gasp) a Personal Injury Lawyer. (The other candidate is also a lawyer, just to add a little more perspective.)

Now, the evil personal injury attorney just addressed my Senatorial District assembly and assured us that she is in favor of tort reform.

I seriously had no preference in this race. But now these two flyers have definitely influenced my vote...away from the negative candidate.
