Nick pointed this meme my direction, and although I usually avoid these things like the plague, I've posted so little as of late, I figured it was a good way to reintroduce myself to my blog.
You're stuck inside Fahrenheit 451, which book do you want to be?
Have you ever had a crush on a fictional Character?
The last book you bought is?
The last book you read?
What are you currently reading?
Five books I would take to a deserted island.
Who else would I like to see play this game?
You're stuck inside Fahrenheit 451, which book do you want to be?
Any book with an asbestos cover.
Have you ever had a crush on a fictional Character?
Yes. Mostly as a teen and I mercifully don't remember any particulars.
The last book you bought is?
I honestly cannot remember. I'm a very dedicated library patron. In fact, I very regularly give them money to buy new books. (We call them 'late fees' to keep my philanthropy ego small.)
The last book you read?
The Radiant Warrior
by Leo Frankowski
A modern 'Connecticut Yankee' story which I found enjoyable.
What are you currently reading?
Sutter's Cross
by W. Dale Cramer Bad Leadership
by Barbara Kellerman The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire
by Edward Gibbon From Time Immemorial
by Joan Peters
Five books I would take to a deserted island.
The Bible (Spiritual Well Being) Living Off the Land: Tracking, Building Traps, Shelters, Toolmaking, Finding Water and Food
by Christopher McNab (Physical Well Being) Mobile Communications Engineering: Theory and Applications
by William C. Y. Lee (Long Term Rescue Plans) The Complete Book of Solitaire and Patience Games
by Albert H. Moorehead (Leisure) The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire
by Edward Gibbon (Longest work I could think of)
Who else would I like to see play this game?
This is the part I really hate. It feels just like multi-level marketing, at least to me. Or those stupid chain letters. Someone sent the silly thing your way and you don't want to do it but you know your friend will ask if you did and you hate to disapoint them. But you also hate to put the same obligation on your other friends. It seems to me that the best solution is to pick random people out of the phone book and send the letters to them - with no return address. I've decided to take the same approach with this one. I started by randomly picking three blogs, and selecting 3 blogs I have never read before from their blogrolls. Here they are: I still feel bad about picking these poor folk, but at least I'm not alienating my current friends, just potential future ones.
