Polls are fickle and not always accurate. Please take them with a grain of salt. Especially this one:
If the 2004 election for President were held today, 52% of likely voters surveyed would vote for President George W. Bush, 41% would vote for Democratic nominee John Kerry, and 3% would vote for Ralph Nader, according to a new TIME poll conducted from Aug. 31 to Sept. 2.After all, it's only Time Magazine.
FYI, their last poll was conducted July 20-22. The result at that time: Kerry 46%, Bush 43%, Nader 5%. That means the latest result shows a 14 point swing for the Republican candidate over the last 40 days. There is little doubt that Bush has received a convention bounce. The question at this point is can he hold it. Only time will tell...less than 2 months time.
