We had some younger kids spend the weekend with us. It was fun and sometimes you forget how delightfully refreshing and amusing small minds can be.

I was helping getting the girls ready for bed when Pablo walked in, picked up my daughter's pink blanket and wrapped it over his shoulders. We had some very chilly evenings, per Houston standards, so I asked him if he was cold. His answer was an emphatic: "No! I Darth Vader."

Caught by surprise, I decided to be tactful as I tried to reason with 'Darth'. "What color does Darth Vader wear?" He thought for just a moment, and then without a word dropped the blanket onto the floor and left the room. I was hoping I had not dampened his enthusiasm but there was little danger of that.

A few minutes later we walked back into the room, picked the blanket up off the floor. As he put it back into place as an intimidating cape, he muttered "There no black." Then he stormed out of the room in the way that only a 5 year-old pink Vader could.

Actually, with powers like force-grip, Vader probably could probably wear any color and those around him would certainly hold their tongues.
